DESCRIPTION:Come out to Game Point for a Draft and a Draft.  We start off with a Magic the Gathering booster draft\, then add on to that a draft beer from one of the many craft beers we have on tap (or a Kombucha or Nitro Coffee or . . . we have options).  Top that off with three rounds of Swiss with the deck you drafted\, each win getting you a bonus pack.  It all adds up to a fun\, fun night.  $20 (tax incl.) gets you the cards for the draft\, any prize packs\, and a draft beer. \nWhether you are currently into Magic\, or looking to have some fun with the game that you loved to play back in middle school (high school?) (college?) – come on out for an evening of mana and memories. \n(As long as we have six players we will hold the draft.  Must be 21 or over to play.)

DESCRIPTION:In 2008\, Dominion was the deck building game that launched the genre.  On Thursday\, June 28th\, we will celebrate ten years of Dominion with a Game Point tournament.  The format will be three rounds of Swiss competition\, cutting down to a final four player game.  The winner will get the latest expansion\, Dominion: Nocturne (or another expansion of their choice). \nYou already need to know how to play Dominion to participate\, there won’t be any teaching rounds.  However\, we will have a Dominion teaching night on Sunday\, June 17th and again on Sunday\, June 24th to get you ready for the event – so come out early to hone your skills! \nRegistration will begin at 6 pm\, games will start at 6:30 pm.  You can reserve your spot in advance by RSVPing in the form below.  We will also take walk ups as we have room – if you have a base set of Dominion\, bring it along so we can accommodate more people!

DESCRIPTION:Fight the mid month doldrums at Game Point by coming out for Free Game Night! \nOver the past several months\, we have amassed a large bunch of games that we can’t use in the library — promotional copies\, donations by friends of the cafe\, and more.  Some are new\, others are used – we need to clear out some space and you can reap the rewards.  How it works:  come in to Game Point after 7 pm on Friday the 13th and then sign up for our mailing list.  Once you do that you get to pick a game from the pile o’ games – one game per person\, while supplies last!

SUMMARY:Draft and a Draft - Magic 2019
DESCRIPTION:Come out to Game Point for a Draft and a Draft.  We start off with a Magic the Gathering booster draft\, then add on to that a draft beer from one of the many craft beers we have on tap (or a Kombucha or Nitro Coffee or . . . we have options).  Top that off with three rounds of Swiss with the deck you drafted\, each win getting you a bonus pack.  It all adds up to a fun\, fun night.  $20 (tax incl.) gets you the cards for the draft\, any prize packs\, and a draft beer. \nWe aim to get started between 6:30 and 7:00\, but come out a little early for casual pick up games while you wait! \nWhether you are currently into Magic\, or looking to have some fun with the game that you loved to play back in middle school (high school?) (college?) – come on out for an evening of mana and memories. \n(As long as we have six players we will hold the draft.  Must be 21 or over to play.)

SUMMARY:Tour de Point - a Flamme Rouge Tournament
DESCRIPTION:In honor of the Tour de France\, we are holding the Tour de Point this month at Game Point.  On Thursday\, July 26th\, we will be holding a Flamme Rouge tournament at Game Point.  Depending on how many participants we have\, we’ll have several rounds culminating in crowning the Tour de Point Champion – he or she will receive a Game Point Gift Certificate and a Championship “Yellow Jersey.”  We will start registering people at 6:30 and start the races at 7 pm.  Flamme Rouge is easy to learn – come out early or come to our Training session (on Sunday July 22nd) to get ready for the event! \nYou can RSVP below to reserve your spot – or come out that evening.  Have a copy of Flamme Rouge?  Bring it along and we can accommodate more racers! \nGood luck to all\, and remember\, no doping will be tolerated!

DESCRIPTION:Game Point is teaming up with our friends at The Spoken Token podcast to host a fun event Saturday\, August 4th.  This weekend is the US’s biggest gaming event – Gen Con.  It’s a huge four day gaming bacchanal in Indianapolis\, Indiana.  But those who can’t go to Gen Con can have their own gaming fest by attending a Gen Can’t event! \nWe are hosting Nashville’s Gen Can’t event along with the Spoken Token podcast.  There are lots of giveaways and events planned throughout the day.  And we’ll have expanded hours for a full twelve hour gaming marathon (1 pm – 1 am)! \nAlso\, the Spoken Token is having a game drive to benefit local children’t hospitals.  If you bring a new game to donate on Saturday\, we’ll reward you with 10% off a new game purchase during the Gen Can’t event.  So\, make plans to get your game on\, have some tasty food and drink\, and enjoy Gen Can’t.
