DESCRIPTION:All skill levels are welcome at our monthly Chess Night at Game Point (first Tuesday of the month).  We’ll have a number of boards available for people to come in for a game.  In the before COVID times\, we had a number of people come in that had only played on the internet – and they commented how fun it was to play face to face.  You should be one of those faces! \nFor very new players\, one of our regulars won the 2020 Tennessee Open Amateur Division and would love to give some free lessons and pointers\, so come take advantage! \nChess Night happens monthly. DESCRIPTION:Our Magic drafting event is back.  Formerly known as Draft and a Draught – seem idea but with wider selection.  We start off with a Magic the Gathering booster draft\, then add on to that a beer or latte of your choice.  Top that off with three rounds of Swiss with the deck you drafted\, each match win getting you a bonus pack.  It all adds up to a fun\, fun night.  $20 (plus tax) gets you the cards for the draft\, any prize packs you win\, and your first drink. \nTonight’s format will be Brother’s War. \nThis isn’t Wizard Play sanctioned and usually is pretty laid back – a great way to play some Magic\, especially if you haven’t played in a while.  Six people minimum for the draft.  We start gathering at 6 pm and registering people as soon as we have six folks.  Then we aim to get started as close to 6:30 pm as we can. Hope you’ll come join us!

SUMMARY:Dominion Night
DESCRIPTION:In Dominion\, you are a local ruler trying to build your kingdom to win the game.  It is a game where you have a deck of cards that let you get points or buy new cards that might let you get more points.  Throughout the game\, your deck gets more personalized with the cards you buy and\, hopefully\, more able to acquire cards worth lots of points.  This type of game is known as a “deck builder” and Dominion was the first game to gain popularity of this type. \nThis Wednesday. come out and play some Dominion.  We’ll be teaching the game to new players and we’ll have tables and sets for vets as well.  We are starting our Dominion League in January\, so come out and tune up for that! Games start around 6:30 pm but will continue throughout the evening\, as they only take around 30 minutes to play.  There’s not a fee in play in our events\, but please plan to purchase drinks or snacks to make this possible.

DESCRIPTION:All skill levels are welcome at our monthly Chess Night at Game Point (first Tuesday of the month).  We’ll have a number of boards available for people to come in for a game.  In the before COVID times\, we had a number of people come in that had only played on the internet – and they commented how fun it was to play face to face.  You should be one of those faces! \nFor very new players\, one of our regulars won the 2020 Tennessee Open Amateur Division and would love to give some free lessons and pointers\, so come take advantage! \nChess Night happens monthly. Games happen throughout the night\, usually timed games (through chess timer phone apps).  We have a lot of sets\, so just show up\, order a drink\, and play!

SUMMARY:Keyforge: Archon Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Tonight’s event will be a best of one\, Archon format.  You will need to bring our own Keyforge deck to the event.  Arrive by 6:30 pm to register your deck and sign in. First round will start shortly thereafter.  We ask that everyone playing plan to spend a minimum of $10 in food or drink.  The tournament winner will get a prize of Keyforge promotional materials or a Game Point gift card! \nWe’ll continue to test the Chainbound 2022 events and make this an official event.  What does that mean?  It means that we will register each deck before play begins.  The results of the tournament are reported back to the Keyforge servers and decks are handicapped based on how well they have done.  In essence\, this helps to create a fluid meta around the game.  In addition\, playing and winning also earns you ambershards – they used to be redeemable of promotional stuff from Fantasy Flight Games – not sure what Ghost Galaxy Games will do with them!  So you’ll want to have downloaded the Keyforge app and have set up your personal account on the app before the tournament begins.  You can read more about the format on Fantasy Flight Keyforge Website.

DESCRIPTION:Our Magic drafting event is back.  Formerly known as Draft and a Draught – seem idea but with wider selection.  We start off with a Magic the Gathering booster draft\, then add on to that a beer or latte of your choice.  Top that off with three rounds of Swiss with the deck you drafted\, each match win getting you a bonus pack.  It all adds up to a fun\, fun night.  $20 (plus tax) gets you the cards for the draft\, any prize packs you win\, and your first drink. \nTo go along with October’s Vampire Theme at Game Point\, tonight’s draft set will be Crimson Vow! \nThis isn’t Wizard Play sanctioned and usually is pretty laid back – a great way to play some Magic\, especially if you haven’t played in a while.  We start registering people at 6:00 and aim to get started by 6:30 pm. SUMMARY:Dominion Night
DESCRIPTION:In Dominion\, you are a local ruler trying to build your kingdom to win the game.  It is a game where you have a deck of cards that let you get points or buy new cards that might let you get more points.  Throughout the game\, your deck gets more personalized with the cards you buy and\, hopefully\, more able to acquire cards worth lots of points.  This type of game is known as a “deck builder” and Dominion was the first game to gain popularity of this type. \nEach second Wednesday come out and play some Dominion\, we’ll be teaching the game to new players and we’ll have tables and sets for vets as well.  We are getting close to having enough people interested\, to start a Dominion league later this fall – so come on out.  Games start around 6:30 pm but will continue throughout the evening\, as they only take around 30 minutes to play.  There’s not a fee in play in our events\, but please plan to purchase drinks or snacks to make this possible.

DESCRIPTION:Interested in Keyforge?  Tonight’s for you.  Our regular community of players will be having an open play night\, but it’s a perfect night to try out the game with us. \nWhat is Keyforge?  Keyforge is a unique deck game where you race your opponent to forge three keys but gathering resources and denying them the same.  It’s unique because no two decks in the game are the same.  A computer algorithm generates each list of cards in the deck so that each one is different from every other one.  The game just finished a wildly successful crowd funding campaign – get in now for the resurgance coming in 2023. \nCome on out at 6:30 pm and forge some keys!
