SUMMARY:Dominion Night
DESCRIPTION:In Dominion\, you are a local ruler trying to build your kingdom to win the game.  It is a game where you have a deck of cards that let you get points or buy new cards that might let you get more points.  Throughout the game\, your deck gets more personalized with the cards you buy and\, hopefully\, more able to acquire cards worth lots of points.  This type of game is known as a “deck builder” and Dominion was the first game to gain popularity of this type. \nEach second Wednesday come out and play some Dominion\, we’ll be teaching the game to new players and we’ll have tables and sets for vets as well.  We are getting close to having enough people interested\, to start a Dominion league later this fall – so come on out.  Games start around 6:30 pm but will continue throughout the evening\, as they only take around 30 minutes to play.

DESCRIPTION:Our Magic drafting event is back.  Formerly known as Draft and a Draught – seem idea but with wider selection.  We start off with a Magic the Gathering booster draft\, then add on to that a beer or latte of your choice.  Top that off with three rounds of Swiss with the deck you drafted\, each match win getting you a bonus pack.  It all adds up to a fun\, fun night.  $18 (plus tax) gets you the cards for the draft\, any prize packs you win\, and your first drink. \nProvided the supply chain gods smile on use\, we’ll be drafting Dominaria United tonight. \nThis isn’t Wizard Play sanctioned and usually is pretty laid back – a great way to play some Magic\, especially if you haven’t played in a while.  We start registering people at 6:00 and aim to get started by 6:30 pm. Six people minimum for the draft.  Hope you’ll come join us!

DESCRIPTION:Not just your ordinary pub trivia night – Game Point’s monthly trivia competition is a Wits and Wagers style game show! \nWe’ll ask seven questions based on the month’s theme.  Each answer will be in the form of a number.  Not sure of the exact number – no worries\, you can still win the round.  The winning answer will be the closest number without going over\, so you can get points by just being close.  But that’s not the end of the game.  Before revealing the answer\, you’ll get a chance to bet on which answer you think is right\, whether your own or another team’s answer.  You win chips for being the closest AND for betting on the closest answer; use those chips to increase your bets in later rounds; finish with the most money and win!  Gift cards or games will be awarded to the winning team! \nWe’ll start getting team’s ready to go around 7:30 pm and start at 8 pm.  Bring your own team or come as a free agent! \nThis month’s there is Harry Potter.

DESCRIPTION:Interested in Keyforge?  Tonight’s for you.  Our regular community of players will be having an open play night\, but it’s a perfect night to try out the game with us. \nWhat is Keyforge?  Keyforge is a unique deck game where you race your opponent to forge three keys but gathering resources and denying them the same.  It’s unique because no two decks in the game are the same.  A computer algorithm generates each list of cards in the deck so that each one is different from every other one.  The game is currently switching publishing companies so a great time to get in before the relaunch. \nCome on out at 6:30 pm and forge some keys!

SUMMARY:Magic Monday - Pack Wars
DESCRIPTION:A fifth Monday in August calls for us to roll out something special.  That something?  Pack Wars! \nHere’s how it will work.  Each player will be given a sealed booster pack and 10 lands (two of each color).  You open the pack\, removed the token card and shuffle up the pack and lands without looking at the cards (you can bring sleeves for the deck if you want to sleeve them).  You then play a 2 out of 3 match of Magic with your 25 card decks with the following rule additions: \n– Each player will start with 15 life. \n– Once per game a player can elect at the end of their turn to shuffle their graveyard into their library. \n\n– A player may play any basic land in their hand face down as a “City of Brass” – a land that taps to produce any color of mana and damages you for one point.\n\nAfter the match\, losing players can look at their deck and opt for a second pack\, forfeiting their first.  Winning players don’t get to look and just shuffle back up for match two.  Whoever has the best record at the end of three rounds will get all the forfeited decks\, or a $10 Game Point Gift Card if no one opts for the redo (multiple best records? we’ll cut down for a single elimination).  Buy in for the night will be $10 and include your first drink.  We’ll start gathering at 6 pm and start promptly at 6:30 pm.

DESCRIPTION:Fantasy Flight has three solid and well-regarded cooperative Living Card Games – Akrham Horror\, Lord of the Rings  and Marvel Champions.  (A Living Card Game is one that is expandable with new content but not collectible – you don’t have to chase rare cards\, etc.)  We are setting aside the 3rd Tuesday of each month for people that are into any of these games to get a chance to play with other people.  Some come on out and bring whatever deck\, scenario or campaign you’d love to play.  We hopefully will grow this evening for people to get a chance to play these great games with new folk!

SUMMARY:Magic: The Gathering - Draft and a Drink
DESCRIPTION:Our Magic drafting event is back.  Formerly known as Draft and a Draught – seem idea but with wider selection.  We start off with a Magic the Gathering booster draft\, then add on to that a beer or latte of your choice.  Top that off with three rounds of Swiss with the deck you drafted\, each match win getting you a bonus pack.  It all adds up to a fun\, fun night.  $18 (plus tax) gets you the cards for the draft\, any prize packs you win\, and your first drink. \nWith a couple weeks to go before Dominaria United drops\, we’re reaching into the archives for a throwback format: Rivals of Ixalan. \nThis isn’t Wizard Play sanctioned and usually is pretty laid back – a great way to play some Magic\, especially if you haven’t played in a while.  We start registering people at 6:00 and aim to get started by 6:30 pm. Six people minimum for the draft.  Hope you’ll come join us!

DESCRIPTION:Thursday nights are Keyforge nights at Game Point – join a fun group of players in this unique card game. \nWe’re are bring back the successful and super fund Sealed Grab Bag event.  At the start of the event\,  you’ll pay $10 for a Keyforge deck and then you’ll reach into a bag and grab a sealed deck.  That’s your deck for the evening’s tournament.  The twist is that the grab bag is full of decks from lots of different Keyforge sets!  And then we’ll battle in a Swiss tournament  We’ll start matches at 6:30!
