DESCRIPTION:All skill levels are welcome at our monthly Chess Night at Game Point (first Tuesday of the month).  We’ll have a number of boards available for people to come in for a game.  In the before COVID times\, we had a number of people come in that had only played on the internet – and they commented how fun it was to play face to face.  You should be one of those faces! \nFor very new players\, one of our regulars won the 2020 Tennessee Open Amateur Division and would love to give some free lessons and pointers\, so come take advantage! \nChess Night happens monthly. SUMMARY:Keyforge Night Archon Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Tonight’s event will be a best of one\, Archon format.  You will need to bring our own Keyforge deck to the event.  Arrive by 6:30 pm to register your deck and sign in. First round will start shortly thereafter.  We ask that everyone playing plan to spend a minimum of $10 in food or drink.  The tournament winner will get a prize of Keyforge promotional materials or a Game Point gift card! \nWe’ll continue to test the Chainbound 2022 events and make this an official event.  What does that mean?  It means that we will register each deck before play begins.  The results of the tournament are reported back to the Fantasy Flight servers and decks are handicapped based on how well they have done.  In essence\, this helps to create a fluid meta around the game.  In addition\, playing and winning also earns you ambershards that can be redeemed for promotional stuff from Fantasy Flight Games.  So you’ll want to have downloaded the Keyforge app and have set up your personal account on the app before the tournament begins.  You can read more about the format on Fantasy Flight Keyforge Website.

SUMMARY:Magic: The Gathering - Draft and a Drink
DESCRIPTION:Our Magic drafting event is back.  Formerly known as Draft and a Draught – seem idea but with wider selection.  We start off with a Magic the Gathering booster draft\, then add on to that a beer or latte of your choice.  Top that off with three rounds of Swiss with the deck you drafted\, each match win getting you a bonus pack.  It all adds up to a fun\, fun night.  $18 (plus tax) gets you the cards for the draft\, any prize packs you win\, and your first drink. \nSet for this draft will be Streets of New Capenna. \nThis isn’t Wizard Play sanctioned and usually is pretty laid back – a great way to play some Magic\, especially if you haven’t played in a while.  We start registering people at 6:00 and aim to get started by 6:30 pm. Six people minimum for the draft.  Hope you’ll come join us!

DESCRIPTION:(Moved to 5/24 this Month!) \nFantasy Flight has three solid and well regarded Living Card Games – Akrham Horror\, Lord of the Rings  and Marvel Champions.  (A Living Card Game is one that is expandable with new content but not collectible – you don’t have to chase rare cards\, etc.)  All are cooperative.  We are setting aside the 3rd Tuesday (moved to the fourth Tuesday in May due to conflict) of each month for people that are into any of these games to get a chance to play with other people.  Some come on out and bring whatever deck\, scenario or campaign you’d love to play.  We hopefully will grow this evening for people to get a chance to play these great games with new folk!

DESCRIPTION:We’ve had to move the start time back to 8 pm for the coach led game.  If you want to come early and see if you can get in a pick up game\, come on out! \nIn 2007\, Uwe Rosenberg’s Agricola hit the market and suddenly running a subsistence farm was the new hot thing to do.  In it\, players are a family starting out in a new farm – plant vegetables\, raise livestock\, have children\, and then raise them to help work the fields — and above all make sure that everyone can be fed throughout the game.  For the past two decades\, Agricola has been a popular game – consistently ranking in the top 50 games of all time. \nThe last Wednesday fo the month\, come on out and learn Agricola or just get in a game.  Starting in June\, we have some players that are bringing out alternative decks for people to try out.  It’s a great chance to try a heavier game that you might not normally get to the table.

DESCRIPTION:Not just your ordinary pub trivia night – Game Point hosts a monthly trivia competition as a Wits and Wagers style game show! \nWe’ll ask seven questions based on the month’s theme.  Each answer will be in the form of a number.  Not sure of the exact number – no worries\, you can still win the round.  The winning answer will be the closest number without going over – but wait there’s still more.  Before revealing the answer\, you’ll get a chance to bet on which answer you think is right\, whether your own or another team’s answer.  You can win chips for being the closest and for betting on the closest answer; use those chips to increase your bets in later rounds; finish with the most money and win!  Gift cards or games will be awarded to the winning team! \nWe’ll start getting team’s ready to go around 7:30 pm and start around 8 pm.  Bring your own team or come as a free agent! \nThis month’s theme: Board Games \n

DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re a seasoned Dominion veteran or a new player looking to play a bunch of games\, you need to be at Game Point Sunday\, June 5th for our Dominion Tournament.  Sign up ahead of time or show up to register at 6 pm.  Then at 6:30 pm\, you will play the first of three games of Dominion – every player will rotate through and try their luck at three different set ups.  We’ll look at everyone’s scores at the end of three rounds and the top four players will play a winner take all final game!  Winner will get their choice of a Dominion Expansion or a Game Point gift card! \nThere’s no fee for entering the event but each player is asked to spend a minimum of $15 on food and drink throughout the evening.

DESCRIPTION:All skill levels are welcome at our monthly Chess Night at Game Point (first Tuesday of the month).  We’ll have a number of boards available for people to come in for a game.  In the before COVID times\, we had a number of people come in that had only played on the internet – and they commented how fun it was to play face to face.  You should be one of those faces! \nFor very new players\, one of our regulars won the 2020 Tennessee Open Amateur Division and would love to give some free lessons and pointers\, so come take advantage! \nChess Night happens monthly. Games happen throughout the night\, usually timed games (through chess timer phone apps).  We have a lot of sets\, so just show up\, order a drink\, and play!

SUMMARY:Keyforge Night - Archon Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Tonight’s event will be a best of one\, Archon format.  You will need to bring our own Keyforge deck to the event.  Arrive by 6:30 pm to register your deck and sign in. First round will start shortly thereafter.  We ask that everyone playing plan to spend a minimum of $10 in food or drink.  The tournament winner will get a prize of Keyforge promotional materials or a Game Point gift card! \nWe’ll continue to test the Chainbound 2022 events and make this an official event.  What does that mean?  It means that we will register each deck before play begins.  The results of the tournament are reported back to the Fantasy Flight servers and decks are handicapped based on how well they have done.  In essence\, this helps to create a fluid meta around the game.  In addition\, playing and winning also earns you ambershards that can be redeemed for promotional stuff from Fantasy Flight Games.  So you’ll want to have downloaded the Keyforge app and have set up your personal account on the app before the tournament begins.  You can read more about the format on Fantasy Flight Keyforge Website.
