DESCRIPTION:Come out to Game Point for a Draft and a Draft.  We start off with a Magic the Gathering booster draft\, then add on to that a draft beer from one of the many craft beers we have on tap (or a Kombucha or Nitro Coffee or . . . we have options).  Top that off with three rounds of Swiss with the deck you drafted\, each win getting you a bonus pack.  It all adds up to a fun\, fun night.  $20 (tax incl.) gets you the cards for the draft\, any prize packs\, and a draft beer. \nWe aim to get started between 6:30 and 7:00\, but come out a little early for casual pick up games while you wait! \nWhether you are currently into Magic\, or looking to have some fun with the game that you loved to play back in middle school (high school?) DESCRIPTION:This will be the first of two Keyforge events that we are going to run this month at Game Point.  This event will be an Archon Event meaning that you need to bring your own Keyforge deck to the event.  We will be playing a Reversal tournament.  So put that super OP deck back on the shelf and dig in your bag of Keyforge\, this is an opportunity to play those lesser loved decks.  Details follow: \nDescription:\nEach player brings a deck to the tournament which they believe is challenging to win with. Each round of the tournament\, opponents temporarily swap decks for that match\, and try to win the round with the deck their opponent brought.\nPhilosophy:\nAll decks are useful in some way\, and this variant provides a fun opportunity for a player to dust off their more challenging decks and give them some use in tournament play. \nWinners will get some promotional Keyforge materials and the champ for the night will also win a Game Point Gift Card (value based on number of players).  Come on out and forge some keys!

SUMMARY:Qualifier for US Catan National Championships - Preliminary Round
DESCRIPTION:Game Point is once again hosting a qualifier for the US Catan National Championships.  We will be holding three preliminary rounds: \n\n– Tuesday\, January 22\, 6:30 pm\n– Tuesday\, January 29\, 6:30 pm\n– Sunday\, February 17\, 5:30 pm\n\nYou can play in one\, two or all three preliminary rounds – the 16 highest scoring players will be invited back to Game Point on February 19th for the semi-finals and final games. Top scoring players will receive Catan promotional materials and the winner of each preliminary tourney will receive a $25 Game Point Gift Card for future visits. \nThe overall winner on the 19th will win admission to the Origins Game Fair in Columbus\, OH\, June 12-16\, 2019 and a guaranteed seat at the 2019 Catan US Nationals Tournament. The Game Point winner will also join the other Qualifier Champions and Catan Studio for a celebratory dinner on Saturday night of Origins. (The Catan US National Champion will move on to the 2020 Catan World Championship\, location and dates to be announced at a later date.) \nWe will start registration at 6 pm and the games will begin at 6:30 pm. Each preliminary round will consist of three games of Catan. Each participant is asked to spend a minimum of $10 in food and drink during the course of the event. You can reserve your spot below (or sign up for the wait list if all spots are full – we were able to accommodate a good deal of players from those wait lists in 2018). Good luck and game on!

SUMMARY:Keyforge Organized Play (Chainbound)
DESCRIPTION:Due to us not receiving any new Keyforge product this month\, we have had to change our format\, but we are excited about the change.  Instead of a sealed tournament this month\, we will host the first of what we hope will be regular Chainbound Keyforge events.  Chainbound is the new organized play system built around Keyforge that will handicap decks and shift the meta over the course of weekly play.  You can read more about the format on Fantasy Flight Keyforge Website. \nYou will need to bring a Keyforge deck to the event.  Arrive around 6:30 pm to register your deck and sign in. You will want to download the Keyforge app on your phone and make an account prior to arriving at Game Point if you can.  First round will start at 7 pm.  We ask that everyone playing plan to spend a minimum of $5 in food or drink.  Winners will get Keyforge promotional materials and the champ for the night will also win a Game Point Gift Card (value based on the number of players).  Hope you will still make plans to come out and forge some keys! \nOur second of two Keyforge events for the month will be a sealed event.  Each participant will be required to purchase a deck for the evening’s tournament and will use that deck for the duration of the event.  Winners will get some promotional Keyforge materials and the champ for the night will also win a Game Point Gift Card (value based on number of players).  Come on out and forge some keys!

SUMMARY:Qualifier for US Catan National Championships - Preliminary Round
DESCRIPTION:Game Point is once again hosting a qualifier for the US Catan National Championships.  We will be holding three preliminary rounds: \n\n– Tuesday\, January 22\, 6:30 pm\n– Tuesday\, January 29\, 6:30 pm\n– Sunday\, February 17\, 5:30 pm\n\nYou can play in one\, two or all three preliminary rounds – the 16 highest scoring players will be invited back to Game Point on February 19th for the semi-finals and final games. Top scoring players will receive Catan promotional materials and the winner of each preliminary tourney will receive a $25 Game Point Gift Card for future visits. \nThe overall winner on the 19th will win admission to the Origins Game Fair in Columbus\, OH\, June 12-16\, 2019 and a guaranteed seat at the 2019 Catan US Nationals Tournament. The Game Point winner will also join the other Qualifier Champions and Catan Studio for a celebratory dinner on Saturday night of Origins. (The Catan US National Champion will move on to the 2020 Catan World Championship\, location and dates to be announced at a later date.) \nWe will start registration at 6 pm and the games will begin at 6:30 pm. Each preliminary round will consist of three games of Catan. Each participant is asked to spend a minimum of $10 in food and drink during the course of the event. You can reserve your spot below (or sign up for the wait list if all spots are full – we were able to accommodate a good deal of players from those wait lists in 2018). Good luck and game on!
