🏆 Swiss Tournament Details

Number of Rounds Based on Player Count:

– 5 – 8 players = 3 Rounds

– 9 -23 Players = 4 Rounds

– 24 – 47 Players = 5 Rounds

– 48 – 64 Players = 6 Rounds

 

How To Earn Points

• Win = 3 Points
• Tie = 1 Point
• Loss = 0 Points
• At the end of the rounds, the player with the most points wins.

 

🚨 Each Player MUST bring 3 of their own heroes.🚨

• These heroes will remain the same throughout the tournament.
• See below for a list of allowed heroes. Find the 🎲.
• Bring 3, Ban 1 – Each round between 2 participants will be a single game.
• Time for each round: 30 minutes.
• Ties are allowed each round.

🎒 How to Prepare:

• Plan to arrive 15 minutes early.
• Promo and Mythic cards will not be allowed, so please take the time to remove any Promo and/or Mythic cards from your selected heroes before the tournament.
• Verify you have tournament allowed heroes and updated leaflets (more info below, find the 🎲)
• Ensure that all hero decks include only the standard cards for that hero, matching the number of cards listed on their leaflet. Duplicates of cards will not be allowed.
• Remove Buh, Bye! from character decks.

⏰ Start of the Round

 

🚨 Each player will roll twice. Once to determine first to ban. Another to determine first player. 🚨

 

FIRST ROLL – Determine First Participant to Ban ❎

 

• Each player rolls a die. Highest value wins.
• Winner of the die roll can:
• Be first or second player to ban 1 of their opponents 3 characters.

 

SECOND ROLL – Determine First Player ⭐

• Roll a die, highest value wins.

 

Winner of the die roll can:

 

• Choose to be first player, and make the first hero choice.

OR

• Have the opponent (the other player) be the first player, and make the hero choice.

 

🚨 Important Information

• Each participant to keep track of the starting player.
• First player skips income phase.
• Once the 30 minute timer is complete and time is called:
  • Play continues until both players have completed an equal number of turns.
  • Once an equal number of turns have been completed, the match ends immediately.
  • Player with the highest health is considered the winner.
  • If the players have an equal number of health (same number on the health dial) the match is considered a tie.

🪜 Leaderboards & Rankings

 

At the conclusion of each ranked tournament, players will accrue points based on their placement on the event’s leaderboard. Players ranking on the national / regional leaderboards will be based on their 3 best performances. Players can participate in as many tournaments as they’d like, but only their top 3 performances will be used for the position on the leaderboard.
