We have several exciting new games in at Game Point this week. Ex Libris and Clank! In! Space! are on the shelf in the Game Library for you to play – and we also have copies to purchase. Pandemic Legacy Season 2 has also recently arrived and is ready for you to take home and save the world.
Ex Libris by Renegade Game Studios pits you against your opponents as you attempt to create the most impressive library in the realm. From the publisher:
In Ex Libris, you are a collector of rare and valuable books in a thriving fantasy town. The Mayor has just announced a new seat in the Village Council, Grand Librarian. The prestigious and lucrative position will be awarded to the citizen with the most extraordinary library! Unfortunately, several of your book collector colleagues (more like acquaintances, really) are also candidates.
It features interesting choices throughout and hard decisions on where and when to play cards to secure points for game end. The game is for two to four players and the publisher lists playing time at around 45 minutes, but first play will take longer than that.
Clank! In! Space!, also by Renegade Game Studios, is the anticipated follow up to last year’s well received Clank! This time, the adventure is in space – from the publisher:
The evil Lord Eradikus has all but conquered the galaxy, and is now on a victory lap across the sector in his flagship, Eradikus Prime. He may rule with an iron grip, but his most prized artifacts are about to slip through his cyborg claws. You and your fellow thieves have challenged each other to sneak aboard his ship, hack your way into its command module, and steal from him.

This deck building game (where you start with a deck of cards and acquire more cards that both help and hurt you as the game progresses) is for two to four players and takes about an hour to play.
Pandemic Legacy Season 2 continues the smash hit of combining a legacy style game (one where you alter the rules and the game itself each time you play) with the well known Pandemic cooperative game. From the publisher:
The world almost ended seventy-one years ago. A virulent plague came out of nowhere and ravaged the world. For three generations, small groups of survivors have struggled to keep the world alive. Operating from floating stations known as “havens,” they have maintained a loose network of the largest cities by delivering supplies to the mainland. But their efforts are no longer enough. This game is for two to four players and each session of the game takes about sixty minutes to play. Like the first season – you will have anywhere from 12 to 24 game play sessions.
